Privacy Policy

Your privacy is very important to us. So we have developed this policy in order for you to understand how we collect, use, communicate, and make use of personal information! We will never sell your personal information to third parties, and all data collected is only used to notify you about updates as you have requested by filling out the email contact form. You can, at any time, remove your consent.

Similar to other websites, the Journey Church website utilizes a standard technology called “cookies” (not as fun as the chocolate-chip variety; see explanation below) and server logs to collect information about how this site is used. Information gathered through cookies and server logs may include the date and time of visits, the pages viewed, time spent at this site, and the websites visited just before and just after this one, as well as your IP address.

Use of Cookies

A cookie is a very small text document, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier. When you visit a website, that site’s computer asks your computer for permission to store this file in a part of your hard drive specifically designated for cookies. Each website can send its own cookie to your browser if your browser’s preferences allow it, but (to protect your privacy) your browser only permits a website to access the cookies it has already sent to you, not the cookies sent to you by other sites.

This website is set up to use cookies to store information, such as your personal preferences when you visit our site. This could include only showing you a popup once in your visit, or the ability to login to some of our features, such as forums.

You can chose to disable or selectively turn off our cookies in your browser settings, or by managing preferences in programs such as Norton Internet Security. However, this can affect how you are able to interact with our site as well as other websites. This could include the inability to login to services or programs, such as logging into forums or accounts.

Deleting cookies does not mean you are permanently opted out of any advertising program. Unless you have settings that disallow cookies, the next time you visit a site running the advertisements, a new cookie will be added.

IP Addresses

IP addresses are used by your computer every time you are connected to the Internet. Your IP address is a number that is used by computers on the network to identify your computer. IP addresses are automatically collected by our web server as part of demographic and profile data known as “traffic data” so that data (such as the Web pages you request) can be sent to you.

Log Files

As with most other websites, I collect and use the data contained in log files. The information in the log files include your IP (internet protocol) address, your ISP (internet service provider, such as AOL), the browser you used to visit our site (such as Internet Explorer or Firefox), the time you visited our site and which pages you visited throughout this site.

Email Information

If you choose to correspond with the Journey Church through email, we may retain the content of your email messages together with your email address and our responses. Gmail does this for us, as it probably does for you. We provide the same protections for these electronic communications that we employ in the maintenance of information received online. This also applies when you register sign up through any of our forms using your email address or make a purchase on this site. For further information, please see the email policies below.
