Our prayer is that children will have multiple opportunities to see, hear, and respond to the Gospel. It is our mission to support families by aiding them to help children become followers of Christ.
Babies & Toddlers (Birth – Age 1)
In the JourneyKids Nursery, our goal is to provide a safe and clean environment where babies sense God’s love. Through songs and play, our hope is that our little ones hear three basic truths: “God loves me, God made me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever.”
Preschoolers (Ages 2-5)
With the understanding that preschool-aged children are incredibly curious and learning quickly, JourneyKids provides an exciting and fun curriculum that includes Bible stories, creative activities, strategic play, and worship. Through each creative effort, our aim is that children learn and believe the three basic truths: “God loves me, God made me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever.”
Elementary (Grades 1-5)
In the elementary class (1st-5th grades), we focus on four powerful truths: My relationship with God is most important, God's word is where I find truth, God has a place and purpose for me, and Everything I have belongs to God. Through music, Bible stories, videos, games and activities, children in grades 1-5 come to know God more deeply and develop their faith. The kids enjoy a time of worship, small group time, and various activities, which help them understand God’s Word.

Safety
At Journey Church, we believe that every man, woman, and child should have multiple opportunities to see, hear, and respond to the gospel. In order to reach and teach our youngest church-goers, we’ve created special environments for kids. From newborn through elementary school, JourneyKids children’s ministry is where our kids learn together on Sundays. For middle and high school students, Journey Student Ministry, or JSM, meets weekly outside of Sunday services. Here at journey, we are committed to protecting our kids, as well as our volunteers who work with our kids. We have several policies, safeguards, and procedures in place to keep everyone safe. Our entire church staff has been trained in the prevention of child sexual abuse, so we’re able to vigilently be on guard. All JourneyKids & JSM volunteers complete background checks and new volunteers are also asked to submit references before working with kids. We also follow a strict Two Adult Rule which means an adult is never alone with a child in JourneyKids. We have specific bathroom and diapering policies in place for those children that require assistance. We have been, and continue to be fiercely devoted to the wellbeing of our church family and this includes our children, from babies all the way up to our high schoolers.
