Next Gen
Our Next Gen ministries provide discipleship and care for our children, youth, and young adults.
Journey Kids
Journey Kids exists so that the children of our church have multiple opportunities to see, hear, and respond to the gospel. We do this by partnering with families to develop our children to be disciples and deploy them to be godly influences where they live, learn, and play. To provide a safe and welcoming environment for our children, all Next Generation volunteers must fill out an application, send references, receive a background check, and familiarize themselves with our procedures through specific training and volunteer shadowing.
Journey Students
Journey Youth equips Middle and High School students to discern God’s will and glorify God through the teaching of God’s Word and building thriving relationships with Student Disciple Makers. To provide a safe and welcoming environment for our students, all Next Generation volunteers must fill out an application, send references, receive a background check, and familiarize themselves with our procedures.
Journey Young Adults
Journey Young Adults equips and sends Young Adults to be disciples who make disciples by devoting ourselves to the apostles’ teaching, to the fellowship of the saints, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer.
Worship
Journey Church Worship and Production exists to create environments and events where our congregation can worship without distraction and respond to who God is and what He has done.
Band Member
A Worship band member serves the congregation by using their musical talent to lead the church in song.
Production Team
The production team ensures that the tools we use for the Sunday Gathering — such as the sound system, microphones, screens, and cameras — operate effectively and without distraction.
Prayer
The Prayer Team faithfully and diligently prays over each and every prayer request submitted via the Welcome Home cards throughout the week. Commitment level: once a week.
Operations
Our Operations Teams provide physical and administrative support for all of Journey Church's ministries.
Visual Media
This team works together to find creative ways to reach people with the life-giving message of Jesus through artistically designed photography, graphics, video, branding, storytelling, etc. Commitment level: as needed.
Facility Improvement
The Facility Improvement Team puts their handyman skills to work taking care of repairs. They spruce up our campus so it's ready for the many who walk through the doors of Journey Church each week.
Cleaning
The Cleaning Team exists to create a welcoming environment for worship by ensuring our church facilities are clean and well-maintained.
Welcome Home
The Welcome Home team exists to welcome people to Journey Church the way Jesus welcomes us all from the parking lot to the seat.
Section Host
The Section Host Team works to provide an environment of connection and care in the sanctuary before and after the Sunday Gathering.
'New Here' Tent
The New Here Tent fosters an environment of belonging through engaging conversations and personalized assistance.
Café Team
The Café Team serves coffee and refreshments for each service while striving to foster community and connection in every interaction.
Greeting
The Greeting Team strives to create a welcoming environment where guests and partners feel at home at each transition point in the building.
Family Meal Team
Our mission is to ‘set the table’ for our partners to receive the ordinance of communion by ensuring its preparation, distribution, and clean-up.
Communication Coordinator
The Communion Coordinator will ensure that each service is fully staffed and runs smoothly.
Preparation
A Preparation Volunteer will ensure that all communion elements are prepared and ready for the service.
Baking
A Baking Volunteer will bake six loaves of bread for the communion service.
Serving
Serving Volunteers are Partners in good standing with Journey Church who serve the elements of the Family Meal.
