The Journey Kids ministry strives to create an excellent children’s program, without compromise, every Sunday. In fact, our goal is that every Sunday at church will be the best HOUR of your child’s week.
Part of Journey Church’s Redeeming the Family initiative, Journey Kids curriculum is deeper than once-a-week group Bible study. Each Sunday, through the Parent Partnership, the Parent Q (PQ) newsletter is sent home with activities and scripture memory that reiterates and reinforces that day’s course of study. The PQ is a simple tool that enables parents to continue Biblical instruction and spark thoughtful conversation long after you’re home.
Our prayer is that children will know, show, and tell of the love of Jesus Christ and have a love for the local church. It is our mission to support you, as a parent, by aiding you to help your child become a fully-developing follower of Jesus.
In the Journey Kids Nursery, our goal is to provide a safe, clean environment where your babies sense God’s love. Through songs and simple words, our volunteers help to build the foundation that God loves your child, God made them, and Jesus wants to be their friend.
Walkers, Preschoolers, and Kindergarteners (Kid Rooms 1-5)
To continue building upon the nurturing environment of the Nursery, and with the understanding that preschool-aged and kindergarten-aged children are incredibly curious and learning at an extremely fast rate, Journey Kids provides an exciting and fun curriculum that includes Bible stories, creative activities, strategic play, and worship. Through each creative effort grounded in Biblical truth, children discover that God made them, God loves them, and Jesus wants to be their friend forever.
1st-5th Grade (The Loft)
The Journey Kids Elementary Ministry focuses on building the foundation of faith so that children can become world changers. Through music, Bible stories, videos, games and activities, children in grades 1-5 come to know God more deeply and develop their faith. After a time of worship, the kids are broken into small groups, and through various activities, delve deeper into the truths of God’s Word. Children learn how to make wise choices, how they should treat others, and that they can trust God always — amongst other valuable lessons and Biblical truths.
